Student Challenge . . .

A few weeks ago our class faced an incredibly difficult

challenge! Students were divided into 3 groups. Each group stood on a long 2x4 board. Here was the challenge: students had to arrange themselves on the board from shortest to tallest on the board without talking or stepping off of the board. Needless to say, it was QUITE a challenge. Unsuccessful in some ways, successful in some! I was lenient as far as stepping off of the board.

It was almost impossible, but we will try again later this year! Talking, that was a little difficult as well! Challenges such are great ways to enhance collaboration, critical thinking, engineering, and FUN! It was a lot of fun to watch them work together and create strategies.
