Today's Meet with Leslie Bulion . . .

We were very fortunate to be able to have a Today's Meet with Leslie Bulion, the author of "The Universe of Fair". Today's Meet is a site in which a chat can be set up with classes and individuals. Leslie described it in a tweet as a "fast tweet chat without hashtags".

So, I set up a link for our class, Mrs. Micklow's class, and Mrs. Bulion! Students partnered up and chatted away. We were able to ask her questions about characters in the book, about being an author, about what she likes, and answer questions that she asked us as well! It was a great time! She is such a giving author. The burning question among our class was "Why didn't Lou-Ann talk in the book?". She told us that Lou-Ann does talk, she is just very shy. She talks to Penny and children her age. We also learned that Leslie's favorite color is blue green, she LOVES lemon meringue pie, her dog rescued some baby rabbits, and editing is the biggest part of writing a book.
