Celebrating World Read Aloud Day with the United Kingdom . . .

Celebrating globally is so much fun! We had an opportunity today to make friends with Mr. Wheeldon's class at St.

Mary's Primary School in England. We presented a reader's theater with them from a book that we read, One Cool Friend. They performed a reader's theater for us as well, Click, Clack, Moo. Both classes did an excellent job! When the performances were complete, each class had a little question and answer session. We learned that some of their favorite meals are fish fingers, chicks and sausage, bolognese, beans and

toast, pizza, and burgers. Some of their favorite books are The Wizard of Oz and The Dog Ate My Homework. Oddly enough, they were having a sunny day while we were having a rainy day! It seems as though it should have been the other way around. We're looking forward to collaborating with Mr. Wheeldon's class again soon by having a Today's Meet.
