Also, there should be a list of spelling words. Hopefully you will find them in the "Spelling" section of the FROG Binder. Please jot a note in the communication section of the FROG Binder if your child is missing something. On the blog, there is a tab on the right side for spelling. In that section, you will find the spelling words each week. We will start Spelling City next week, and I will be introducing it this week in class.
We also began our Mystery Word of the Week today! It's a lot of fun each week as we try to uncover the words using clues. As we learn new words, your child is adding to his/her vocabulary! You will find clues each day on twitter. There is a tab on the right to our twitter feed also. The tab is about midway down. Just click, this will take you to our tweets and you can check clues each day.
Every now and then, there may be a sneak peek! If your child figures out what the Mystery Word is, have him/her write it down on a piece of paper with a name on it. We have a spot in the class for the guesses.
Oops! Some students are not reading at night, or perhaps just not writing down the book in the reading log section of the FROG Binder. Remember, this is an IMPORTANT part of homework! Let's not get behind before we've gotten really started! Just a little FYI.
