We recently celebrated International Day of Peace in our classroom. We began by talking about what peace means, and we are continuing to create a community of peace in our classroom. Our class participated in a global collaboration project with 20 other classes around the world. Some of the countries included were Ireland, Greece, Guatemala, S. Australia, India, Malayasia, and several states in the USA. We worked hard to learn the song, "Wavin' Flag" and made peace flags. I'm so proud of all of their hard work. We also created word clouds using peace words that we listed on a chart together. I was very impressed!
