Global Read Aloud . . .

It's one of my FAVORITE projects and times of the year . . . The Global Read Aloud! There are so many exciting aspects of this event- reading a great book, global connections, collaborating with other classes, literacy projects, etc. We started reading The BFG by Roald Dahl last week. We're enjoying it so far! We're learning lots of great vocabulary and learning to visualize parts of a

story. On Friday we participated in a Today's Meet with Mrs. Mancusi's 2nd grade class from Nixa, Missouri. A Today's Meet is a conversation link that is set up specifically for classes to connect. We were able to meet the students, learn about them, and talk about The BFG. Mrs. Mancusi said that her class looked us up on Google Earth to see our school. We loved that idea so we did the same thing 

after our Today's Meet. Stay tuned. . .  we'll be updating you regularly on this project!
