Mooresville Community Tour

Wow, we covered a lot of territory in one day! We went to the Mooresville Public Library, Turner Hardware Store, DeLuxe Ice Cream Shop, Mack Citizen's Center for a bathroom break, Mooresville Town Hall, Mooresville Fire Department, and then loaded the bus to go to the Mooresville Police Department (thanks goodness we didn't have to walk there!!!) I must say, it was a great day. Our class was great and a lot was learned by all.

A little bit of history: In 1899, D.E. Turner Hardware store opened for business, carrying the usual assortment of goods and sundries. It continues to serve Mooresville and it the city's oldest continually operating company.

What is THIS???
We were told that it's a telephone, but
there was no evidence to suggest that!

We learned that there are so many great things going on at the library! Put it on your calendar to go there each week this summer. I'm going to add a link so that you can check out the summer reading challenge for your child. Don't miss out! Mooresville Public Library

Talk about YUMMY! Nothing like a
visit to a nice cool ice cream parlor
on a hot, summer day.

More pictures will be added SOON on the Mooresville City Tour page listed on the menu!
