Accelerated Reader . . .

We started Accelerated Reader last week, and our class is on fire! We all took our first quiz together on the book First Day Jitters. Students have learned how to read the labels

on our classroom books to find book levels, point values, and quiz numbers. You will find a page/link on the right side of this page. Check out that link to learn how to look up quiz numbers. Most books are AR books, so books that your child is reading at home are most likely AR books. If your child reads an AR book at home during his/her homework reading, you may write the quiz number on the reading log or parent communication log. That way your child can take an AR quiz the next morning. Four students put their names on the AR point charts in the hall today! Darius, Caroline, and Hannah all have 5 points. Neil has already earned 10 points. Way to go! So many are close to hitting the 5 point mark, so stay tuned for more good news! Let me know if you have any questions about this!
