over 100 years ago. It's really a place that you should go back to and spend time looking at everything. Turner Hardware is a real step back in time. On our next stop, we visited another historic Mooresville spot, Mooresville Ice Cream Company. It's another step back in time! We enjoyed a nice refreshing scoop of DeLuxe Ice Cream, yum. Off to the next stop, which is the Mooresville Town Hall where Mayor Atkins educated us with many fascinated facts about the city of Mooresville. Did you know that it takes $84,000,000 to run our city each year? We continued walking in our efforts to learn more about the city. Our next stop was the The Mooresville Fire Department. We learned . . . well, that they are not always there! They were out on a call, so we are hoping they will pay us a visit at South and show us their truck and equipment. Fire fighters have busy jobs. That didn't stop us, after a quick snack, we loaded the bus and made our way to the Mooresville Police Department. Many helpful officers answered lots of questions and gave us a great tour of their station and a police car. Did you know that some police officers ride motorcycles and bicycles? The motorcycles are huge! It was a day of learning and fun for all!
