Friends in Australia . . .
On Friday we had a chance to make friends with students all the way on the other side of the world!
We Skyped with Ms. Gallagher's Class in Melbourne, Australia. Ms. Gallagher's 3rd graders were having a Sypathon in which they spent the night at school and Skyped with students all over the world. They were even in their pajamas! We learned that they liked some of the same books that we like! We were able to ask them questions all about their school and their interests. They also speak English, but the accents were different. We talked about what it means to have an accent. We're looking forward to hosting a similar event in February where we come to school at night, but we won't be spending the night!
