Taradiddle Players . . .

We were fortunate to have the Taradiddle Players at South on Thursday! They are the resident touring troup of the Children's Theater of Charlotte. This treat was provided to us by our South PTSO, so thank you parents! They performed Hansel and Gretel with a new twist on  the classic fairy tale. In this clever adaptation, a family gathers around the dinner table and Mother tells her children the story of Hansel & Gretel. As the familiar story unfolds -- two hungry children lost in the forest searching for their parents and facing a wicked witch -- the family embraces their roles in this play within a play with a "happily ever after" ending. The students loved the play by being a perfect audience and showing lots of laughter.
