Do You Remember Pippi Longstocking?

Hopefully you have heard, but I have been reading Pippi Longstocking to the class. Did you read that when you were younger? It's really a lot of fun. One of the students said that she is a little like Junie B. Jones. Pippi is a lot of fun and a zany character. I'm going to tell you a few of the words we have come across and learned. Ask your child what these words mean: parasol, humiliating, astonishment. At least one student knew the meaning of two of the words. No one knew parasol. That's another great thing about the book, it introduces us to a lot of new vocabulary! We will watch the original movie when we finish the book.
