It was a great day for our class. Frank, Lucy, and Wyatt (Frank's 13 year old stepson) came and spent half of the day with us. Every student got to go all through the truck. I think the favorite part was pushing the air buttons and going up and down in the seats. Frank was so great with the students, very patient and answered every question asked. Of course, Lucy was a star too. Everyone got to visit with her. She sure didn't like to be far from her dad. Frank and Wyatt didn't think she felt too good today, but she was a sport for us. We celebrated with a cake, drinks, and snacks. It took Frank 8 hours to get to North Carolina from his home in Paducah, Kentucky. He said that he spent $85,000 on fuel last year. Good things prices have gone down a little. My 2nd graders from last year also got to meet Frank and tour the truck. We even had two South alums that are now in 5th grade at Mooresville Intermediate come over! A great day was had by all!
