Gingerbread Community . . .

It's come and gone, but I'm finally getting a chance to get you updated about our Mooresville Gingerbread Community project! It was A LOT of work, but it was also so much fun and rewarding! I'm so proud of all of our class. Students worked hard together with partners in putting together buildings that are important in our community. Before construction began, we
We're celebrating! We did it!
made a list of the places that we thought were important in our community. Then we voted on our top choices of who wanted to build what. Then construction began.

Our project was in the paper!
When all buildings were complete, we made roads and trees. We arranged the buildings, added people, and we were ready for our presentation. We shared our community with a class in Andover, Kansas. They shared their gingerbread community as well, and we learned that many of the same buildings were important in each community. We are also both are suburban communities!
