"Each Little Bird That Sings"

I began reading one of my favorite books to the class today. It's called "Each Little Bird That Sings". It's a fun story about a family from a small town in Mississippi that runs a funeral home. It has a lot of charm and great vocabulary that we will be talking about. We learned the word optimistic today. The main character in the story is a girl named Comfort.

Clues for mystery word of the week will come home tomorrow! This week's word is a great one, you may find it one that you can use at home :-)! Students that come in with the correct word on Friday will have their names posted on the blog.

Also, don't forget to work on math facts. A few students are going DOWN instead of up, that's not supposed to be happening!!!
